Ok... once again, I have been a really bad blogger. Vacations, family, summer plans, travel... it's been So busy. Here is a list of 5 things that I am loving right now:
1. Books. I don't know quite what sparked it again, but I am reading like crazy lately. 2-3 books a week. Savannah and I have been hitting Half Price Books a couple of times a week. They have these great $1 carts in back that have new books each day. I have found a bunch on my reading list, at least 1 each time I go. Also, I have been at the library at least once a week. Savannah has been getting new books and videos, which she loves. Plus, they have been able to order books on my reading list that i haven't been able to find.

2. Card Making and Some Mini-Book Projects. I have been enjoying just playing with my scrapbook supplies, making cards and using some odd little mini-books. Just today I used up a bunch of scraps making some very whimsical apples that I am going to use on a fall card. And the other night, I made an entire 24 page Halloween 5x7 mini-book all about last year's Trick-or-Treating! I used lots of little bits and pieces, rub-on, felt, foam. I also went heavy on the journaling. And, one night last week, I made 7 Halloween cards! I love the way they all turned out. Used lots of the little K&co die-cuts. Today I am feeling totally inspired by owls. I have some new owl stamps and a new Sizzix owl day just waiting to be played with. Plus, I have been buying lots of little things here and there as I can on sale. Lots of new Cuttlbug dies, Soft Spoken, lots of the Basic Grey CupCake Birthday line, about 15 sets of new stamps, lots of MAMBI and K&Co Halloween and Fall.
3. The end of Summer. I know that this probably sounds funny coming from a Las Vegas girl, but summer in Ohio was too darn hot and humid! The humidity was HORRIBLE! The weather is starting to cool, highs in the 70s and lows around 55. Perfect jeans and t-shirt weather with a hoodie or sweatshirt at night. I know soon, autumn will be here, and that it will be COLD. But for now, the end of summer weather is just perfect!
4. The Farmer's Market. This is my weekend spot. Savannah and I are loving all the fresh produce that is grown around here, and we have definately been stocking up. Strawberries. Red Bing Cherries. Big Baskets of Green Peppers. Cucumbers. Mini Yellow Watermelon. It's all been so good!!! And the guinea pigs are loving it as much as we are!
5. Home Projects. I am definately thinking that the snow will be here soon enough, and that I need to getting some home things started. I have bought paint and a bunch of frames to do a 8 8x10 collage above the table in my scrapbook room. Got some purple vinyl to do a wall word in Savannah's room, just looking for the right one. I have been looking through LOTS of home decor magazines lately, getting inspired to get my condo finished. I have been here for just over 6 months, and things aren't quite the way that I want them. It is definately time to get things done. Although it was definately NOT my style in my old house, I am loving lots of handmade and shabby chic details around here. I even started a dish to store the couple of pieces of sea glass that I found by Lake Erie this summer.
