Autumn is Coming

What is one thing you enjoy doing during the fall season?

This was the blog topic of the day, and I have totally had autumn on my mind. There are so many reasons that I love Fall. Here are just a few:

1. Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pumpkin Bread, and Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins. Savannah had the first pumpkin of the season a few days ago at Panera Bread. It tasted so good. I wish they had them year round. Then, I had a pumpkin muffin with my pumpkin spice latte on Sunday when I went to coffee with my friend Megan. YUM!!! So, of course I had to stop yesterday at Starbucks and get my fix while running my errands. Savannah had pumpkin bread, and I had the pumpkin muffin and latte again. It is absolutely one of my fave treats!

2. My Anniversary. My husband may drive me crazy, but each year I look forward to my anniversary as a real accomplishment. It seems like more and more of our friends are splitting up and moving on, and I am really proud that we have been able to work through our differences. Marriage isn't always easy, but we are in it for the long haul.

3. Trips to the Pumpkin Patch. I don't know what it is about the pumpkin patch, but spending the afternoon there is one of my fave things to do. I love watching Savannah look through the rows and rows of pumpkins looking for the perfect one. I love watching her try and try to pick up the really big ones or making them roll down the aisles created by the barrels of hay.

The Sunset pumpkin patch also has a few little games and rides that Savannah just can't get enough of. Last year her faves were the swings and the cars. They also have a petting zoo, but last year Savannah was afraid of all the animals. I am hoping this October she won't be so afraid.

4. Bath and Body Works Fall Scents. I am a sucker for the limited edition lotions and bath goodies at B&BW. I have alomst finished last year's Spiced Apple and Pumpkin Pie lotions, and was actually just there looking for some new ones yesterday. They didn't have much of the fall stuff out yet, but they do have a new one called Irresistable Apple. It was so yummy, and smelled just like an apple orchard. I had to have the Body Cream :) I also got a new 3-in-1 trial size in Cherry Pie. They said that the bigger ones would be out later this month with the rest of the fall stuff, but thet didn't know if it was a fall-only scent or something that will be around all year. Either way, I will definately be back in a few weeks stocking up on some goodies again.

5. Sweaters and Hoodies. I don't get a lot of use out of the sweaters and hoodies living in Las Vegas, but I do have a really nice collection of comfy coxy ones. While I do enjoy living in t-shirts and sandal weather most of the year, it is nice when the weather decides to cool down and we can through on jeans and a sweater and spend some time at the park.

6. HALLOWEEN. This is seriously my fave holiday. I love dressing up and picking out costumes. This year Kevin is working, so Savannah and I are going to be pirates together. I love all the spooky Halloween decorations (skeletons, witches, body parts), but the cutesy one are my fave (country pumpkins, twinkle lights in purple and orange, silly Halloween signs). I love baking cookies in the shape of bats and pumpkins and decorating them. I LOVE trick or treating with Savannah. I love seeing all the other kids dressed in costumes and the look on thier faces when they get there treats. I love Halloween candy. The candy bars are small enough that you get a little bite of lots of different kinds without having to eat a huge candy bar. I even love CANDY CORN.
