Third of July

We celebrated a day early because of Kevin's work schedule, but still had a really great day!
Kevin and I went to see TRANSFORMERs on opening day. I wasn't expecting much, but I actually enjoyed it. The special effects were really, really good. Kevin had explained to me the basics before we went in the theatre, but the story did a really good job of explaining what they were and why they were here for people that had never watched the cartoon series.
After the movie, we picked up Savannah and headed home for a BBQ. Kevin had Italian Sausage, Savannah had hot dogs, and I had Chicken Kabobs. It was really low-key, while Kevin cooked Savannah and I played with the hose. The food was delicious, I am usually not a fan of BBQ but the food was perfect.

We had bought a few fireworks, mostly poppers and sparklers and let Savannah do them. She loved the confetti that came out of the poppers, she kept putting it in our hair and then in hers. She must have spent 45 minutes just playing with the confetti. The sparklers were her faves, she kept calling them "Harry Potter" wands and loved waving them around.
The actual 4th of July, we ended up just hanging out at home all day. Kevin had to work, so Savannah and I just hung out around the house. We did get to watch a ton of the neighbor's fireworks at night. Savannah loved watching the rockets explode in the sky.
