Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

The wait is over. I have read the book twice, and listened to the last 5 discs of my audio book. I LOVED IT!!!! The ending, especially the epilogue made me cry. There were just so, so many things that I really liked about the book, that it made me completely over look the 2 little things that I would have changed.

I think one of my fave scenes/parts is the Snape and Lily relationship. It explains so, so much about Snape and his behaviors in the past book. It also makes him out to be the unsung hero of the series. Quiet and suffering, mourning for the love he had lost. I also loved that when he was dying he told Harry "Look at me" so he could look and see Lily's eyes (which Harry inherited) as he died.

Another thing that I really liked about this book is how Neville Longbottom really came into his own. He was leading the DA at Hogwarts and should so much nerve and courage. Such a huge growth from the little boy in the first couple books. I also loved his Gram in this book. A couple of the lines about her made me LOL.

And, Ron and Hermionie. I was so, so waiting for the kiss. It has just been building and building and building as the books progress. I am in the group of people that think that Ron has always loved her. It just took them a while to get there. And the ending was perfect for them! Married, two kids, still the witty banter between them!

On a scale of 1 to 10, this book was a 100. Off to read it again :)
