The Cleveland Museum of Natural History
Savannah and I spent the whole day here with Mom, Jim, Mike, April, and Mikey. We had so much fun. It took Savannah a few minutes to figure out that they animals were not real, she kept looking at the to see if they were going to move. LOL.
Savannah's fave part was the real ducks in the duck pond. It was too cold to go outside by them (It was like -19 wind chill) but she spent about 20 minutes looking at the through the windows.
My fave part was all the Geology stuff. It was fun explaining to Mikey about the different types of gems and fossills and being able to show him. They also had a cool earthquake platform that scared Savannah to death. She had huge eyes and jumped into my lap as soon as it started to shake.
The dinosaurs were also pretty cool. We were able to see the "A Dinosaur Named Sue" T-Rex exhibit that is traveling around the country right now. The also had a new dinosaur names Jane in the exhibit. Savannah only tryed to climb through the guard rails to see the dinosaurs once.
We also went to the Planetarium while we were there, and we all saw Uranus. The speaker was catering the show for small children, and Mikey really seemed to enojoy it. Savannah fell asleep about 10 minutes into the show, but did manage some OOOOHHHs and AAAAHHHs before she passed out.
The kids were spoiled rotten! Mike got Savannah and Mikey a stuffed snake, a monkey mask, and rock candy. I got the kids T-Rex grabbers and tons of chocolate chip cookies.
Mike also got a small green rubber snake that he used to scare the crap out of Mom with. It was so so funny!
