2Peas Easter Blog Challenge

I love Easter. I can hardly wait for it this year.
I remember all the excitement when I was a little girl. I would wake up early in the morning and always had a Big Bunny and a Jumbo basket of candy waiting for me. Michael and I would then start looking for eggs so that when it was time to start the hunt we would have a headstart. We would get all dressed up and go to Church with Grandma and Grandpa, and then have a big Easter dinner at Grandma's house. Usually turkey and ham with all the trimmings! Yum! Most years Jeanne-Marie would come down from Pheonix and usually Uncle John or Uncle Walt would come to.
In 2003 I decided to make Easter dinner for all my friends. My turkey was so salty! Everybody ate it because they didn't want to hurt my feeling, but there was a lot more turkey left than trimmings. I have decided that cooking turkeys is just not for me.
This year we haven't made any plans. This is the first Easter in this house and the first that Savannah knows that somthing is going on. When she wakes up we are going to do an egg hunt in the backyard, and then let her find her Easter basket. We got her 2 hollow choclate bunnies, marshmellow and chocolate bunnies, and Cadbury mini-eggs. I also got her a golf set, Little People. hair stuff, and a ball. Then we'll put her in her pretty yellow dress for the day. I'm probably not going to take her to church because Kevin is not willing to go at all. Maybe when she's a little older I will give her the choice of whether or not she would want to go.
